What We Do

We offer boarding of broodmares, yearlings, weanlings, turnouts and lay-ups. Whether your need is long term, seasonal or short term, we are sure your horses would like to call Meadowlark Farms home. We also provide sales prep and representation for yearling and mixed sales throughout the year. Transportation is available upon request.

Broodmares and Foals
Meadowlark Farms chooses broodmares on the basis of conformation, pedigree and performance. It is not one or the other, but rather, it is all of these to the greatest degree possible. It is accepted that one cannot have the best of everything in every individual. But the result has to be exceptional.

We are equipped to handle all of your breeding and foaling needs. Box stalls and large foaling stalls with cameras along with constant personal supervision ensure the safe arrival of your foal. Foals born at Meadowlark Farms are hand raised and get used to being handled at a young age. The foals also meet the farrier at a young age and have regular trims.

Weanlings and yearlings are de-wormed regularly and are groomed in crossties. If you purchase one of our colts or fillies, you can be certain you are buying a quality foal that has received the best of care. As preparation for yearling or other sales approach, individual attention becomes intense with daily time spent according to the needs of the individual yearling or horse ensuring the best possible presentation to ensure the best possible dollar is received.

Training
Meadowlark Farms boasts a new half-mile track and, with Carl’s 20 years of Standardbred experience, you can be assured your horse will receive the best in training. We accept yearlings, 2 year olds and racehorses.
